Going Home

Zohra and I made our first trip back down to San Diego this past week.  I arrived early in the week for a physical therapy conference and Zohra came in for the weekend.  Here is an image from my sunset pictures at Mt Soledad in La Jolla.  The cross is a frequent topic of discussion regarding its legal right to remain standing on public grounds, but is an awesome area for locals to come and enjoy expansive city and ocean views.

Here is a shot of the cross while facing towards the coastline after the sun has set.  I am still working on my photography in various lighting and these low-light pictures can be challenging.

This is the final picture from Mt Soledad area facing toward downtown La Jolla into the haze.

Here is Zohra with our little niece Carina.  She is 8 months old and is starting the teething stage.  Carina often likes to wave her arms out at her side when she is excited.

Here is my lil' niece happy to see us before she is off to bed.

Here is my brother Billy with his daughter.

Here is Zohra's parents, Stan and Cres with my lil' niece.

Thanks to the Womack trio for taking us in for part of our stay back in San Diego.

Added note from Zohra: I hope you all enjoyed Warren's first post.  He was so excited to show everyone how great our trip was he wouldn't let me update our blog.

Thank you to everyone who made time to visit with us while we were in town.  We had so much fun visiting we are already trying to plan our next trip back.

See you soon......

Cell phone photography

Since our move to Washington we have been trying to get out and enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer in the Pacific Northwest.  Unfortunately El Nino has sent most of our  rain and snow to California and snowboarding hasn't been as much of a priority with the lack of fresh snow.  We have gotten in a few day trips with our last trip we did a night session.

This is a picture from the middle of a run at night, you can actually see pretty well at night.

Warren and I decided to get in a morning at the beach before the big game on Sunday.  As most of you know Warren's new favorite hobby is photography.  Unfortunately his new most dreaded task it uploading his photos.  I decided that I wanted you all to see the beach before spring hits and  took all of these pictures with my cell phone. Just kidding Warren will share his photos soon.

The beaches here tend to have more rocks than sand.
It's pretty quiet at the beach when it's 47 degrees out.

The sun is trying to peak through but never made it out on Sunday.
Here's a fun game...where's Warren?

I will be pushing Warren to get his photos uploaded so you all can see more of Washington from a better camera. We miss everyone and we are very much looking forward to our upcoming trip to sunny San Diego.  Hopefully the sun will greet us when we arrive.

Until next time......
