Getting transferred, going home, and first bath.....

After two weeks at the Seattle hospital Drayce and Chance were doing so good they were transferred to a hospital closer to home.  We were excited to have them one step closer to coming home and happy to not drive all the way to Seattle to see them. The above picture was taken as they were getting prepped for their ride north. This was the first time the two boys were side by side since birth.

Before they could come home they had to pass their car seat test....they passed with flying colors.

Spending some time with brother

Can you tell us apart?

It's me Drayce on the right.

It's me Chance on the left.

My first bath at home

All clean and rocking the fuzzy hair

Not liking my first bath so much

Thank goodness that torture is over....but I like being clean.

Welcome Twin Boys

April 29, 2011

Our twin boys arrived early on Friday the 29th and brought a beautiful sunny Seattle day with them.

On Friday morning I woke up with a slightly painful contraction, but they were not regular and the doctor said I was not in active labor and could be at this state for a few days.

By 9:00 AM I was starting to have more frequent contractions and they were getting more painful.
At 9:30 AM I was thinking about calling the nurse for pain meds. Within a few minutes my contractions went from fairly painful to excruciatingly painful.  The doctor came in to check me and I was fully dialated and ready to go.

Drayce arrived at 9:46 AM and within 20 minutes his brother Chance was here.  Thankfully by the time Chance came the pain meds had kicked in.  And yes I avoided a c-section, I was very impressed with myself.

Chance's turn to get cleaned up

It was an action packed morning and the reward was seeing our boys!

Fun Stuff and a Growing Belly

Tulip Festival 2011

The end of February brought us a snow day.  Warren and I watched 6-8 inches of snow fall in 3 hours.

Front of the house covered in snow.

March brought us a visitor.  Auntie Deb came up on a beautiful sunny weekend.

The Smith Family made another appearance in April, just in time to check out some tulips and to celebrate Thao's birthday.  What a beautiful family.
